Biography

Mostafa Akbari is a self-taught artist. In his works, images and figures emerge through a free and intuitive process, with no predetermined outcome. Rather than presenting an image based on a specific idea or narrative, he explores the possibility of the work taking shape within the process itself. Personal experience, imagination, and improvisation play a central role in his works. Over the course of his artistic career, Akbari has held five solo exhibitions and participated in more than 30 group exhibitions in Iran and abroad. His international exhibitions include events in Milan, Berlin, Moscow, Budapest, and Tallinn.
