Biography

Leila Yaghoubi, born in 1989 in Tehran, is an Iranian artist. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Textile Printing Design and from the Uni- versity of Science and Culture in Tehran, and a master’s degree in Painting from Islamic Azad University. She has previously participated in several group exhibitions, and Un- collective Memories marks her debut solo show.In this body of work, Yaghoubi uses old lace fabrics and vintage ta- blecloths as the foundation of her pieces, embedding her concepts through the technique of conceptual embroidery. Her aim is to build a bridge between past and present, engaging in a dialogue between cultural and historical memory and contemporary lived experience. This approach lends her work a nostalgic yet critical dimension—offering a re-reading of tradition through a contemporary lens.
