Collective Expansion
If the paradigm of modern thinking is arborescent and vertical, and includes determined boundaries; Rhizome structure is exactly the vegetative root, which is the most prominent symbol of postmodernism. The vertical impose of the verb: to be in tree diagrams, in the way of horizontal circulation of rhizome, converts itself to the verb: tobecome.
In contrast to centered (even polycentric) systems with hierarchical modes of communication and pre-established paths, Rhizome is an acentered, nonhierarchical, non-signifying system without a general and without an organizing memory or central automaton, defined solely by a circulation of states. *
Collective Expansion is a data processing software, which through some strategies like long repetitive circles and highlighting the nodes, applies horizontal characteristics of a “rhizomatic” system in order to give the audience the visual experience of the verb: to become.
Everyone can feed the collective expansion according to their desire (a collection of words which could be meaningful/nonsense/hybrid/pre-established) and after a while, there would be a chaotic, massive and monster-like sculpture in the room, which constitutes of multiple actions.
There are two different involving groups, and two represented graphs. The audience can take part in this interactive installation by either visiting the gallery or accessing the system via Internet.
The Rate of Participation can be detected through the speed of Expansion. The submitted words would be visible in two generated graphs. One of them simulates the interaction of outsiders, and the other one simulates the insider’s interaction.
In collective Expansion, human networks, outside the gallery act singularly and divided from populaces, but in the gallery, common directions could intensify each other and emotions could have more sharing capacities. Multiple ideas would have the chance to transform to movements of the bodies in a collective dimension.
The Collective Expansion attempts to demonstrate the constituting power of the audience's desire and change their passivity against arborescent, vertical, stable and classified systems and converts it to some active movement.
At the beginning, there is Word, but it buds. Structure growths and by mediation of the words it becomes bigger and bigger …

انبساط جمعی
اگر الگوواره‌ی تفکر مدرن، درخت‌وار، متمرکز، عمودی و دارای مرزبندی‌های مشخص و انتسابی است، ساختار ریزوم، همان ریشه‌ی روینده‌ای است که بارزترین نماد وضعیت پست مدرن است. تحمیل عمودی فعل بودندر درخت، اینبار در روندگی و انتشار افقی ریزوم تبدیل به شدنمی‌شود.
سیستمهای متمرکز یا حتی سیستمهای چند مرکزی که واجد شیوه‌های سلسله‌مراتبیِ ارتباطی و مسیرهای از پیش مستقر شده هستند، در ریزوم، در هیبت سیستمی غیر متمرکز، فاقد سلسله مراتب، غیر دلالت‌گر، بدون ژنرال و بدون حافظه‌ای سازمان‌دهنده یا دستگاه خودکار مرکزی پدیدار می‌شوند و صرفاً با گردش حالت‌ها تعریف می گردند. *
انبساط جمعی در قالب یک نرم افزار داده‌پرداز در تلاش است تا شاخصه‌های افقی سیستم ریزوم را از طریق تمهیداتی همچون سلسله‌ی بسیار طولانی و متکثر دورها و ربط‌های میانی‌شان محقق سازد تا مخاطب مصداق بصریِ شدن را تجربه کند.
هرکسی میتواند باب میلخود به انبساط جمعی غذا دهد( مجموعه‌ای از حروف که میتواند معنادار/ بی‌معنا / پیش‌ساخته / ترکیبی باشد). بعد از مدتی حجمی برساخته از کنش‌هایی متکثر، ریزوماتیک، بی‌نظم و هیولاوش فضا را درمی‌نوردد.
مخاطبان می‌توانند در دو وضعیت در این چیدمان تعاملی شرکت داشته باشند، با حضور در گالری یا به راحتی از هر کجا با دسترسی به اینترنت. نرخ مشارکت با توجه به سرعت انبساط قابل شناسایی است. کلمات نوشته شده (بدون درج نام نویسنده) در دو گراف مولد بازنمایی می‌شود. یکی از گراف‌ها تعامل افراد غایب و دیگری تعامل افراد حاضر در گالری را شبیه‌سازی می‌کنند.
در انبساط جمعی شبکه‌ی انسانی در بیرون از گالری منفرد و متفرق از توده‌ها عمل می‌کند اما در گالری سویه‌های مشترک می‌توانند یکدیگر را هم‌گرا و تشدید کنند و عواطف، قابلیت همرسانی بیشتری پیدا خواهند کرد. تکثر ایده‌ها در فضای مجازی، فرصت می‌یابد تا به تحرک بدن‌ها در ساحتی مشترک تبدیل شود.
انبساط جمعی می‌کوشد قدرت برسازنده‌ی میل را در مخاطب نمود دهد و انفعال او را در مواجهه‌ی تاریخی با سیستم ایستا، درخت‌وار، عمودی و طبقه‌بندی شده به کنشی فعال بدل سازد.
در آغاز کلمه است، اما جوانه می‌زند، رشد می‌کند و به میانجی واژه‌ها بزرگ و بزرگتر می‌شود…
