Sahar Yamini, born in 1989, she holds a Master’s degree in Architecture from Azad University of Karaj. From an early age, she was fascinated by painting, art, and sculpture, though her academic and professional path initially led her toward architecture. While architecture provided valuable experience, it did not fully satisfy her inner quest, and her lifelong passion eventually guided her back to painting. Since 2016, she has pursued painting professionally—first through teaching and later by creating her own independent works. A turning point in her artistic journey came when she discovered the ancient Iranian ritual of Abangan through a television program, which introduced her to the depth of Iran’s forgotten festivals and traditions. This discovery inspired her collection Mysteria—a body of work that seeks to reimagine and revive ancient Iranian rituals and festivities through a contemporary lens. Her paintings are filled with vibrant, joyful colors while also drawing inspiration from antique and historical motifs. Through this blend of tradition and creativity, she has developed a unique and personal artistic language.
